President’s Message

Welcome to the official website of UBC’s Pre-Medical Chapter of Phi Delta Epsilon International Medical Fraternity.

We at UBC PhiDE are a select group of undergraduate students who aspire to become good, accountable medical doctors. We foster development in the areas of professionalism, philanthropy, and brotherhood through a multitude of speaker-invited workshops, charity fundraisers, volunteering events, and social gatherings. It is a healthy competitive environment in which we push ourselves to grow in character and capability. We also dispel the negative stereotype of back-stabbing, cut-throat pre-med students by building a caring network in which we help one another improve and excel. In short, we have become like a family on campus- connected through our common desire to become good physicians and to give back to the society which has nurtured our development.

This welcome message took a long time to synthesize, because I found it hard to encompass the magnitude of our bond, our ambition, and our enthusiasm in one short message. No, it is a nearly impossible feat. All of our members are amazing individuals with limitless potential, and it is forever my honour to serve as
